Asa’s Gift
In this western/sci-fi story, two Russian cousins, Daniel and Asa Ruskin, recent immigrants to the United States in 1880, are trekking across the country with their family in their quest for a better life in San Francisco. Destitute, Daniel’s father finds work in the remote Colorado silver mining town of Lagrima.
Daniel, only a teen, is given the responsibility of being a guardian to his older cousin Asa, a mute who communicates through drawing and sketching. Suddenly, strange disappearances start to plague the town. Inexplicably, they get caught in a conflict between two forces, one extraterrestrial, for the control of the town. The two cousins find themselves fighting for their lives, along with the remaining inhabitants. Little does Daniel know that not only is Asa the key to their survival, but also for the survival of mankind.

“Asa’s Gift is a book infused with lethal doses of suspense throughout. I would guess or try to predict what would happen next, but when I thought I had gotten it right, another twist would come right in and crush everything. I admit that the plot proved me wrong many a time. I am glad it did because I had to wait with bated breath for each revelation. Besides, the suspense made me all the more eager to find out what magic gift that Asa had …As a result, it made it a really fast read, one that hardly gave me a chance to get bored.”

Things to Do in Baltimore While Having a Heart Attack
Things to Do in Baltimore While Having a Heart Attack is a short story collection with five stories featuring Alex Harris, a recently divorced construction manager, who doesn’t realize he is living on the cusp between life and death on the streets of Baltimore.
After a long, frustrating day at the office, Alex decides to search for someone potentially with the answers to his problems: a woman whom he met briefly the night before at a bar. His life is about to change, and Alex is now left to pick up the pieces. Things to Do in Baltimore while Having a Heart Attack is a dark comedic story of Alex’s pursuit for love and redemption while trying to recover from a major illness. He discovers that the process is not as simple or easy as it would appear.
Other stories in the collection include: Guardians of Summar’s Point: A down-and-out lawyer attempting to win a dispute involving an exclusive property on the shore finds an unexpected complication: a supernatural influence controlling the birds inhabiting the area.

Life and Times of Officer Butch
In this modern-day western story, the town of Stratfield, West Virginia, has an explosion of opioid overdoses. Carl Williams, a newly hired deputy in the police department, sees the increasing death toll and makes it his personal quest to find the source of the drugs and defeat the drug dealers threatening to take control of the town. He gets help from an unexpected source when a stray dog, Butch, who appears at his house, has an extraordinary talent for finding illicit drugs, especially opioids.
Butch and Carl end up fighting for their lives. Carl soon discovers he has gotten more than what he has bargained for, and his life will never be the same.

“Isaac Green's novel is a delight to read! It features a 4-legged Action Animal based on the sadly deceased, real-life K-9 police dog who once served in the Morgan County WV Sheriff's Department. While the author calls Officer Butch's town, Berkeley Springs, something else, the focus of the story is the opioid epidemic.
Green frames his novel as a Western and why not! West Virginia once was Frontier and, in many ways, still is. The human hero is a sheriff's deputy who rides a pickup truck instead of a horse. And Superdog flies to the rescue through an open passenger seat window or tailgate at key moments.
For a rollicking good time, read The Life and Times of Officer Butch!”
